When I first came across the story of La Loba, the wild woman who collects bones and sings them back to life, it felt like a homecoming. I had just turned 40, and something inside me stirred. A deep remembering.

At the time, I was co-creating a women’s wellness festival in my local community, bringing together women across generations to reconnect, celebrate womanhood, and reclaim their wellbeing. Around that same time, LaLoba, a small but powerful business devoted to womb health and holistic pleasure, crossed my path.

The woman who created it did so from her maiden energy, full of curiosity, devotion to the body, and reverence for the sacred feminine. And when she passed the torch to me, I knew instantly this was not a coincidence. This was soul work.

As a midwife with over 13 years of experience, I’ve witnessed firsthand how women transform in birth not just bringing forth life, but birthing new versions of themselves. I came to understand that this process doesn’t only happen in motherhood. It happens multiple times in every season of a woman’s life, when she listens deeply, when she reclaims her pleasure, and when she honours the voice of her wild woman within.

So often, we suppress that wild woman.
We tuck her away under expectations, shame, busyness, trauma.
We disconnect from our womb, our pleasure, and our inner knowing.
But I’ve learnt—and now living—that when a woman reconnects with her body, when she honours her cyclical nature, when she says yes to her pleasure, she opens herself to joy, freedom, and abundance. She leads her life, her relationships, and her purpose from a place of deep embodiment.
